On each of these two panels are two divinities of the Bardo. Each figure has an animal head, dancing wildly and wielding death-defying implements. The cinnabar red background, in the shape of a diamond, is defined by diamond and triangle shapes of golden scrolls of raised gesso, know as kyung bur in Tibetan.
