Himalayan Object 10   This food container is made of copper, tin plated inside, with brass fittings. This type of container would have been used in the monasteries and large households in Tibet. There is an inscription with the name of the donor and verses of dedication, clearly indicating that this particular one came from a monastery. There is a hook inside the lid so it could be attached to the edge of the pot, while the thick broth inside was distributed to the monks with a ladle.
