| The bold decoration on this table is a clear indication that it comes from Kham, Eastern Tibet. It is painted on all four sides and the drawer opens both from the front and the back. The front, back and side panels are adorned with polychrome floral compositions, with a background of raised gesso (Tib. kyung bur) in the form of dots. The borders are decorated with colourful clouds, leaves and geometric designs and around the top are lotus flowers. | |||||
